Kung Pao Chicken Recipe


Kung Pao Chicken is a spicy, stir-fried Chinese dish made with chicken, peanuts, vegetables, and chili peppers. It’s savory, slightly sweet, and perfect with steamed rice.

Ingredients


- 500g boneless Chicken (cut into cubes)
- 1/2 cup Roasted Peanuts
- 1/2 cup chopped Bell Peppers (red & green)
- 2-3 Dried Red Chilies
- 1 tsp chopped Garlic
- 1 tsp chopped Ginger
- 2 tbsp Oil

For the Sauce


- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp Water

How to Make Kung Pao Chicken


  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vinegar, hoisin sauce, sugar, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, and dried red chilies. Sauté for a few seconds.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add bell peppers and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Pour in the prepared sauce and cook until thick and glossy.
  6. Stir in roasted peanuts. Cook for another minute and serve hot with rice.
